Do you struggle to come up with healthy snack ideas for your kids? I do too! To help me I’ve come up with a list of 50 healthy snacks for kids.
I made a printable so that I could print it off and stick it in my meal planning binder. You could also print it out and put it on the refrigerator.

50 Healthy Snacks For Kids
When I’m trying to figure out a good snack idea for my kids I like to think of ideas that are like mini-meals.
Snacks that are macro-friendly (protein, fats, carbs) help kids stay fuller longer. I want my kids to eat a snack that is not only healthy but will keep them full until our next meal.
If they eat processed foods, they’ll be asking for more food in no time. We allow some packaged foods mainly because it’s easier when sending snacks to school but we try to keep that to a minimum.
Eating healthy food is good for your kid’s mood, immune system, digestive system, and sleep. Get them eating healthier with these yummy snacks!

These healthy snack ideas should help you to plan out your snacks for the week. I like to pick 2-3 ideas and have them for after school snacks. There is usually enough that they can eat each snack a couple of times a week.
We also have plenty of fresh fruit and veggies ready to eat too. Cutting them up and putting them in a special snack drawer or container makes it easier for them to grab and it makes it more likely that they’ll actually eat it.
I have one kid who doesn’t ever want to eat carrots and celery when I ask her but when I cut up carrots and celery and put it in snack bags in the refrigerator, she eats them no problem!
Sometimes it’s just a matter of having it convenient for them to grab.
Prepackaged Snacks
Sometimes you just need to have prepackaged foods ready for your kids. My kids have to bring snacks to school every day and one of them has to bring two snacks.
So having refrigerated items last until the afternoon, doesn’t always work for us.
So we have some healthy/healthy-ish items that we pack for school or trips.
- Pretzels
- Popcorn
- Pirate Booty
- Annies Fruit Snacks
- Annies Cheddar Bunnies
- Annies Cheddar Squares
- Kind Bar
- LaraBar
- Larabar Kid Protein Bar
- Applesauce
- RX Bar
